Receiving the nominees at plenary on Tuesday, the lawmakers, who said they were satisfied with their integrity, asked them to bow and go.
Member representing Doguwa state constituency in the Assembly, Alhaji Salisu Ibrahim Riruwai, said the assembly confirmed the appointment of the nominees because it was satisfied with their curriculum vitae.
He assured that they would contribute immensely to the development of Kano.
Speaking shortly after the screening exercise, Majority leader, Lawal Hussaini Dala, said the names of Adamu Aliyu Kibiya, Abduljabbar Umar Garko, Shehu Usman Aliyu, and Mustapha Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso were last week presented by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf for legislative screening and approval.

The majority leader said part of the requirements for the appointment is to be a Nigerian, not below 30 years of age and with no criminal records.
Governor Yusuf had formally communicated to the Assembly, the establishment of four new ministries which are Humanitarian , power, solid minerals and Internal security.
Mustapha’s nomination as a commissioner in Kano State has been criticised by many as self-serving. Even members of the ruling New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP) have said it was undeserving.
Sammani Shehu, an adherent of the so-called Kwankwasiyya movement, said it was a “clear violation of the sanctity of our belief in the governor’s uprightness, as opposed to those who governed before him. It was therefore disapponting that he is appointing someone who knows close to nothing about governance and who was alleged to have some negative habitual traits. The governor is appointing him just because he was the son of Magudu Kwankawso.
“In all fainess, I do not know if Kwankawso influenced his son’s appointment, but I’d thought he will oppose it, especially at theis statge in the life of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf‘s government.”
