Hacker takes over Kylian Mbappe’s verified Twitter account
Real Madrid and France star Kylian Mbappe had his Twitter account hacked on Wednesday night – before it sent out a series of bizarre messages.
Mbappe has one goal in his first three appearances since joining Real on a free transfer, with his arrival at the Bernabeu seen as one of the biggest signings in world football for a number of years.
Off the pitch, though, he had to deal with having his social media account compromised by an unknown user.
The main motive behind it appears to be related to cryptocurrency.
The user behind hacking Mbappe’s account then made a series of posts about Manchester United, claiming he was joining them in 2028.
The account then sent out several posts about Tottenham, before asking popular stream Angry Ginge if he could join his Pro Clubs team, Girth and Turf, which has had Luke Littler and Wayne Rooney among its ranks.

It also claimed that Cristiano Ronaldo is a better player than Lionel Messi.
It then began quoting several ‘Football Twitter’ users, before then starting to promote a cryptocurrency scam – the main motive behind several other high-profile accounts, including Jamie Carragher’s account during Euro 2024, being hacked.
The tweets were later deleted, appearing to indicate that Mbappe and his team had regained access to the verified account.
As of early on Thursday morning, his tweets from the last 18 months were not visible, and navigating to the replies section doesn’t show any posts at all.
However, the posts then slowly began to return, with tweets up to August 2024 then being shown.
Mbappe and his representatives have not said anything regarding the incident so far.
