Qatar 2022 has given us so much thrill and excitement with each passing match. It’s the most unpredictable World Cup in the history of the game.
The Mundial normally delivers three or four surprises each tournament but we have had almost a dozen surprise results so far.
Today, Group G and H go for their final round of group matches and we are starting with Group H.
Portugal booked their place in the knockout stages with a game to spare on Monday and need just a point when they take on South Korea to guarantee top spot in the group.

Second-placed Ghana will progress to the last 16 by beating Uruguay, while a draw will also suffice if South Korea do not beat Portugal by two goals or more.
South Korea have two routes to making it to the next round in Qatar, but first and foremost they must beat Portugal.
If Ghana and Uruguay draw, South Korea will need to beat Portugal by two clear goals to advance. If Uruguay and South Korea both win then it come down to goal difference – and possibly goals scored – with the Asian side holding a one-goal advantage.
Uruguay must defeat Ghana and hope that South Korea fail to beat Portugal.
The fixtures as usual are simultaneously at 4pm.

Later in the day, it’s Group G; five-time winners Brazil have already secured their place in the World Cup knockout stages and require just a point against Cameroon to top Group G.
But who will join them in the last 16?
Any of the other three teams could still progress, with second-placed Switzerland best placed but still requiring victory over Serbia to guarantee their progress. A point would be enough for the Swiss if Cameroon fail to beat Brazil.
Serbia and Cameroon both need to win their respective games to keep alive their qualification hopes. Should both sides manage to get the win they need, Cameroon have a slight advantage with a marginally better goal difference.
Kick off for that is at 8pm.

African teams
This is shaping up to be a decent World Cup for Africa.
Senegal and Morocco have both qualified for the last 16, while Tunisia beat holders France.
Today, Ghana and Cameroon may also reach the knockout stage. It looks tougher for Cameroon who must overcome Brazil to have any chance of progressing.
No team from Africa has reached the semi-finals of the World Cup. Is that about to change? We must wait for a few more days to find out.
Are we in for more football drama just like yesterday?
