2025 HEADIES AWARDS: Tems’ ‘Burning’ clinches Best Recording of the Year
The Headies Awards, a prestigious event in the Nigerian music industry, celebrated its 17th edition on Sunday.
This year’s ceremony took place at the Eko Convention Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos, marking a return to Nigeria after two consecutive editions held in Atlanta, Georgia.
The awards aim to recognize and honor outstanding achievements in various categories within the Nigerian music scene.
At this year’s ceremony, Nigerian singer and songwriter Temilade Openiyi, known professionally as Tems, won the Best Recording of the Year award for her emotive track “Burning.”
This song is featured on her album titled “Born in the Wild,” which consists of 18 tracks showcasing her exceptional artistry and musical prowess.
