FEDERATION CUP: Kano pillars in semifinals
Kano Pillars football club has reached the semifinal stage of this year’s President Federation Cup.
The pyramid city lads secured the ticket Wednesday evening in their encounter against Sunshine Stars football team of Akure played at Area three pitch in Abuja via penalty kicks after the thriller ended in a one-all draw
Pillars got the curtain raiser in the thirty fifth minutes of the game while Sunshine Stars levelled scores in the 43rd minutes
After the regular time, the match officials called for penalty kicks to decide who will proceed to the next stage
Pillars netted all their five kicks at the expense of their opponents Sunshine Stars who scored four.

Based on the development, the Yaro Yaro-tutored side emerged victorious and moved to the last four of the competition.
Speaking in an interface, Pillars’ manager, Yaro Yaro, hailed his boys over what he called their brilliant performance, charging them to keep it up until they attain their mission
In his comments, club chairman, Babangida Umar Little appreciated the level of logistic and financial assistance being accorded the team by Kano State government.
He however thumbed up supporters of the team and the good people of Kano State for their ceaseless prayers.
