Tinubu appoints Ganduje’s in-law Idris Ajimobi SSA on livestock development
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Mr. Idris Ajimobi, the husband to the daughter of APC chairman, Fatima Ganduje, as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Livestock Development (Office of the President).
According to a statement issued on Saturday by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), the appointment followed the recent inauguration of the Presidential Committee on Implementation of Livestock Reforms and the establishment of a new Ministry of Livestock Development.
The statement explained that the president is seeking to harness and develop Nigeria’s agricultural potential, including the animal husbandry ecosystem, to spur sustainable economic growth, create industries and jobs, and eradicate violent conflicts between farmers and herders over time.

President Muhammadu Buhari, prominent politician Bola Tinubu, and many other dignitaries were among hundreds of people who attended the wedding of Idris Ajimobi and Fatima Ganduje on March 3, 2018.
President Buhari sought the hand of the bride on behalf of groom’s family from the ‘guardian’ of the bride, Mr. Tinubu.
The marriage was formalised by Emir of Kano, Muhammad Sanusi II, after the payment of N50,000 dowry by President Buhari.
About 20 state governors graced the occasion, including the then chairman of governor’s forum, Governor of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz Yari.
Earlier, President Tinubu appointed Bashir Lado Mohammed as Special Adviser to the President on Senate Matters (Office of the President).
This was also disclosed in a statement released by the President’s media aide, Ajuri Ngelale, on Saturday.
According to the statement, the President expects that the new Special Adviser on Senate Matters will deploy his immense experience for enhanced synergy between the Executive and the Legislature and for improved government performance.
