Kano doctors, MAAUN Group founder, mourn renowned gynecologist, Dr Habib Sadauki
The founder and President of MAAUN Group of Universities, Prof. Adamu Abubakar Gwarzo has expressed deep shock over the sudden death of renowned Gynaecologist and chairman of Gwarzo Consultative Forum, Dr. Habibu Sadauki.
Dr. Sadauki died on Monday following an illness and had since been buried in accordance with the Islamic rites.
In a condolence message on Monday, Prof. Gwarzo described the deceased as honest and hard-working who made significant contributions to healthcare policy when he held sway as the Executive Secretary of the Kano State Hospital Management Board.
He also described the deceased as a humble and fine gentleman who made tremendous contributions to the development of Gwarzo town as chairman of Gwarzo Consultative Forum (GCF).
“On behalf of myself and the Management of MAAUN Group of Universities, I wish to extend our condolences to his wife, children as well as relatives and friends of the deceased.

He noted that the emergence of late Dr. Sadauki as National President of Society of Gynaecology and Obstetrics of Nigeria (SOGON) in 2020 in faraway Lagos underscored the influence and respect he had within the medical circle.
“The death of Dr. Sadauki is a great loss not only to his immediate family but to Kano state and entire country because he spent the whole of his life contributing to the growth of health sector.
“The deceased will continue to be remembered for his invaluable contribution in medical field especially in women’s health,” Prof. Gwarzo noted.

Also, the chairman, Nigeria Medical Association, Kano branch, Dr Abdurrahman Bunawa, on behalf of Kano-based doctors, wrote a condolence, saying “With total submission to the will of Allah, I regret to announce the death of a teacher, an astute clinician, a senior examiner with the national postgraduate medical college of Nigeria and the immediate past president of the Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of Nigeria (SOGON), Dr HABIB SADAUKI this morning…
“May Almighty Allah forgive him and admit him to the highest Jannah ameen.”
