NLC chairman hails Akwa Ibom police boss, seeks enhanced collaboration
The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) Chairman for Akwa Ibom State , Comrade Sunny James, has publicly congratulated the newly appointed Commissioner of Police for Akwa Ibom State, CP Baba Mohammed Azare.
This commendation comes as part of a courtesy visit to the State Headquarters located at Ikot Akpan Abia. During this visit, Comrade James acknowledged the commendable efforts made by CP Azare since he took office, particularly in maintaining law and order throughout the state.
In his remarks, Comrade James highlighted the critical need for ongoing collaboration between the NLC and the Police Command. He emphasized that such cooperation has played a significant role in fostering peace and security within Akwa Ibom State. The NLC Chairman expressed a strong willingness to work closely with the police to enhance this partnership further for the benefit of all residents.
In response to these sentiments, CP Baba Mohammed Azare expressed gratitude towards the NLC delegation for their thoughtful visit and kind words. He reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening the relationship between the Police Command and the NLC. Furthermore, he underscored the importance of effective communication between law enforcement and the public. To facilitate this, he encouraged broader dissemination of contact information for key officers within the command so that residents can easily access necessary assistance when required.

According to the Akwa Ibom State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Timfon John in a press release, the NLC chairman emphasized the importance of sustained collaboration between the Police Command and the Nigeria Labour Congress, noting that such synergy has significantly contributed to the peace and security in Akwa Ibom State.
He further expressed the readiness of the NLC to work closely with the Police Command to strengthen this partnership for the benefit of all residents.
