Kano SWAN Scribe Appointed CEO of UK Sports Company
United Kingdom frontline sports firm, Anchor Sports and Properties Limited, has appointed the secretary of the Kano branch of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Abdulgafar Oladimeji, as its Chief Executive Officer.
The company, operating from Central London, which specializes in sports consultancy, sports facility management and sports tours said the appointment was with immediate effect.
According to the chairman, Anchor Sports and Properties Limited UK, Nigerian born British citizen, Uchechukwu Anunobi, disclosed that the company has confidence in the vast sports experiences of the newly appointed CEO.
He explained that the company now also operates in Nigeria as Anchor Sports Nigeria Limited, and that Oladimeji will superintend over the Nigerian arm of the sports firm.
He added that Oladimeji has also been appointed to serve as the company secretary of the UK arm of the sports firm.
Mr Uchechukwu said the company is focused towards building a sports franchise that will change the style of doing sports facility business in Nigeria, adding that the firm is positioned to serve as a bridge between global sports development firms and Nigerian sports economy with the aim to create benefits to serve both ends.
