Cristiano Ronaldo‘s eldest son, Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior, has been selected to play for Portugal’s under-15 side for the first time in an upcoming international tournament in Croatia.
The 14-year-old got his maiden invitation on Tuesday.

The young player has been called up to Portugal’s under-15 national team for the Vlatko Markovic tournament in Croatia, which will take place from May 13 to 18. Portugal will face Japan, Greece, England, and a yet-to-be-determined opponent in the tournament.
Cristiano Ronaldo, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner and Portugal’s all-time leading scorer, expressed his pride and excitement on social media, posting “Proud of you, son!”
International allegiance
Ronaldo Júnior’s call-up to Portugal’s under-15 team is significant, as he could have also represented the United States (his country of birth) or Spain (due to his father’s residency).
However, his selection by Portugal suggests that he may follow in his father’s footsteps and represent Portugal at the international level.
Cristiano Ronaldo Júnior’s career path has been closely followed by the media and fans. He has played alongside notable players, including Kai Rooney, son of former Manchester United great Wayne Rooney. The young player’s talent and dedication have earned him recognition, and his call-up to Portugal’s under-15 team is seen as a significant step in his development as a footballer.
