PICTURES: Lawyers in Kano Celebrate End of 2021 at a Cocktail
The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Kano branch held its end of the year cocktail party on Saturday the 18th of December, 2021 at the Exeemah Event Centre, Magajin Rumfa, Nassarawa GRA.
The cocktail party was preceded by a novelty football match earlier played between the branch and the state branch of the Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) at the Lebanon Club football pitch.
NMA defeated NBA 2-1 in a fun-filled encounter.
Some members told OnlineNews that the occasion was an opportunity to meet with colleagues in a relaxed manner, “devoid of all the the adversarial moods that characterise our daily activities in the courts and law offices.”
Chairman of the branch, Aminu Sani Gadanya, said his administration held the cocktail last year to celebrate two of the branch’s members who were conferred with the status of Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SAN).
“Unfortunately, we do not have any new SAN this year, so we are here to celebrate all of our members,'” he said.
