Al Nassr sign Cristiano Ronaldo’s son
Al Nassr have signed Cristiano Ronaldo’s son, according to stunning reports.
The eldest child of the five-time Ballon d’Or winner has been part of the academies at Real Madrid, Juventus and Manchester United while his dad was playing for them.
Romano adds that Cristiano Jr will begin training with the Saudi Arabian club in the next few days and will wear the No.7 jersey, the number his dad wears and has done throughout his career.
Born in June 2010, Cristiano Jr has a long way to go before he starts getting offered pro deals.
But he appears to possess ambitions to make it as a footballer like his dad.
Ronaldo has been quoted saying in 2022: “My son tells me, ‘Dad hold on a few more years – I want to play with you.'”
The Portuguese icon signed his eye-watering contract with Al Nassr in December 2022 after leaving Man United in acrimonious circumstances, even though his contract was terminated after reaching a mutual agreement with the Premier League side.
His move to Saudi Arabia prompted a host of other top stars to swap Europe for the Middle East, with the likes of Karim Benzema, Neymar and Riyad Mahrez also making the switch.
The PIF-backed clubs Al Ittihad, Al Hilal and Al Ahli have recruited heavily, with Al Nassr boasting the 38-year-old as well as the superstar forward’s son.
Ronaldo will be reunited with his son, and he has reportedly told Al Nassr that he would like to sign a contract extension through to 2027, when he will be in his early forties.
A potential extension would allow him to figure for Portugal at another World Cup, which will be co-hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
Aside Cristiano Jr, Ronaldo has four other children, a son and three daughters. He shares two of them with girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez.
