In a recent turn of events, the kidnappers slashed the monetary demand further but introduced a new condition: they are now demanding 50 million Naira cash alongside five brand-new Boxer motorcycles before releasing the legal practitioner.
MULAN demands unconditional release
Reacting to the incident, Tudunwada expressed deep grief over the security breach and called on the Muslim community and the general public to invoke spiritual intervention for the victim’s safety.
“Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un. With a heavy heart, we announce the abduction of our dear brother and colleague, Hashim Abdullahi, Esq. We pray to Allah SWT to grant him safety, protect him from all harm, and reunite him with his family in good health,” the statement read.
The former MULAN president strongly condemned the act, calling for the “immediate and unconditional release” of the lawyer to his family.
